Wednesday September 1, 2010 Meeting

For the 1st quarter of school, there are 25 students 6th through 8th grade who make up the council.  We brainstorm ideas of how we can build our school pride & community relations by helping in our communities.  Here is the list of ideas that the kids have decided to take on for the 1st quarter of the school year:
  • Work with the SW PTO putting on a costume dance at the high school in Calmar
  • Build, paint, and install the 6 Pillars of Character in our Ossian center
  • Fall clean up day in Ossian for those people who cannot physically take care of their yards
  • Having a Elementary/Middle School T-Shirt design contest
As you can see these kids have filled their extra time to help others and themselves to make our community stronger.
